Cosecha

Hispanic Church Ministries

What is Cosecha? Cosecha, which means harvest in Spanish, is an EFCA ReachNational Latino church planting ministry focusing on seeing life-giving Hispanic churches and/or ministries developed. We have several pastors from EFCA Central involved with this national ministry focusing on efforts here in the mid-west. Renato Jimenez is the main point of contact.

In the last 20 years the demographic of our district has change. There is an estimated 200,000 Hispanics in Iowa, another 200,00+ Hispanics in Missouri, and over 200,000 Hispanics in Arkansas. We have a mission field of over 600,000 people here in EFCA Central to reach with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We currently have 5 Hispanic ministries, and are working hard to develop new leaders to start new Hispanic ministries in our district. If you would like to start a Hispanic ministry at your church, please reach out to Renato.

Latino Family Camp

Every August, Hidden Acres Christian Camp hosts over 400 Hispanics who travel from 8 different states. It is an incredible gathering of churches with many nations being represented. We use this time for fellowship and, leadership training to equip the churches to minister in their communities. There is programming for both adults and children, with the children's programming being done in English. For more information or to attend the next Latino Family Camp, please reach out to Renato.

Hispanic Bootcamp

We had our first church plant training in 2023. We are working hard on training new church planters and this training provides the necessary tools to start a new church or ministry. We provide this training in different cities in the US. If you are interested in attending this training, please contact Renato.
