Sanctuary Retreat House
The Sanctuary Retreat House is available at no cost to those in full time pastoral ministry within the Central District EFCA. It is our prayer that this retreat house and the campus of Rock River Retreat serve as a sanctuary for you to find a restored heart, to discover a renewed vision of God, and to find God’s peace to refresh you for ministry.
With a stunning view overlooking a lake, the Retreat House is a 1500 square foot cottage nestled in a quiet corner of the Rock River Retreat campus. There is no charge for the use of this house.
Location
Rock River Retreat is located 4 miles south of Webster City, Iowa on Highway 17, less than a one hour drive from Des Moines. Get directions via Google Maps.

Special Thanks
The Sanctuary Retreat House has been made possible through several generous donations. The EFC of Pilot Mound and Living Faith EFC of Moville, two distict churches that are no longer in ministry, have contributed the proceeds from the sale of their properties, as well as a keyboard which is avialable during your stay. The bedroom furniture was given by the Copeland Furniture Company of Vermont as a memorial gift in honor of Spence and Vera Abrams of Clear Lake, Iowa, who supported the District for many years.
