Hidden Acres Christian Center

Hidden Acres is located near Dayton, Iowa, about 75 minutes NW of Des Moines.

From a very modest start in 1979, it is now the largest camp in Iowa and one of the largest in the midwest. We like to think of it as the premier facility of its kind. With a campus that covers 640 acres, our Central District owned camp has modern and excellent facilities. They include a main lodge, a brand new inn, a new family life center with an expansive indoor pool, two full size basketball courts, and plenty of other recreation space. Outdoors there is a climbing wall, a lake for fishing and boating, and a toboggan run. Of course there is our well-known horse program, as well as hunting and hiking.

Rock River Retreat

While we do not own Rock River Retreat, we have a great partnership with this 100 acre ministry center, just south of Webster City, IA. Rock River is intended to be a place for more quiet retreat activities. It is perfect for church leadership and spiritual formation retreats.

Sanctuary Retreat Cabin

A healthy pastor is a key to a church's health. That is why the Central District invested in a retreat cabin designed specifically for its church pastors. This comfortable cabin is located on the 100 acre Rock River Retreat campus and is available for up to seven days at a time. It is intended to be a getaway location for a pastor (and wife) to experience renewal and spiritual refreshment.

There is no cost to use this cabin but reservations must be made in advance.

King's Kids Camp

The St. Louis area Free Churches run their own camping program each summer. This is a fantastic ministry that has now been going on successfully for over 15 years.
